How Porta Potty Servicing Works (Step by Step)

What happens during a porta potty service visit?
A porta potty service visit has five steps. The driver pumps the waste tank, then adds fresh water and deodorizer to the tank. The interior is washed and sanitized. Toilet paper and sanitizer are restocked. Finally, the driver checks the door, latch and vent for damage.
- Pump the waste tank with the vacuum truck.
- Recharge the tank with water and deodorizer.
- Wash and sanitize seat, walls, floor and urinal.
- Restock paper and sanitizer; refill sink water on deluxe units.
- Inspect door, latch, vent and roof.
How often is a porta potty serviced?
A long-term porta potty is serviced once a week as part of the 28-day rental. The driver sets the service day with you on the first visit. Units with heavy use, more than 20 workers, or hot weather may need two visits a week. One-day event units arrive clean and do not need service.
Servicing is automatic; you do not have to call. See our jobsite rental page.
How do I request an extra service visit?
Call (469) 326-5665 during phone hours, 8 AM to 7 PM, and ask for an extra service. Tell us the address and what is wrong: full tank, out of paper, or a mess. Extra visits are scheduled on the next open route and listed on your invoice.
Keep the truck path clear on service day to avoid a missed visit. See rental terms.
